     Allow me to begin by stating that currently I am serving a 40 year sentence, and I have been incarcerated for 14 years. Should you wish to continue to read on allow me to introduce myself:
My name is Venancio Medellin Jr. I am 28 years of age; I stand 5'10 and weigh 183 pounds.
      I am currently working on my associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. I enjoy and love basketball, country music and painting, which I must say that I am very good at and it has all been self taught.
      Since my incarceration I have pretty much been reclusive from the world. But through the years I have managed to keep a positive attitude towards my situation and life in general.
My purpose in writing this letter is so that I can give myself the opportunity which I have been denying myself for years now, to meet people and perhaps befriend them. I once read a quote which stated “The loneliest place on earth is the heart when love is absent.” To my regret this quote has become my life.
      So now I am reaching out in hopes to meet people who will look past my imperfections, my mistakes, and the mistake I committed as a child and see me for who I am a human being that too has feelings, hopes and dreams.
