Hello, my name is Edwin Garcia, you can call me Eddy. I am 27 years old, Puerto Rican, 6 feet tall with brown hair and eyes. I have been in prison since 2002. My situation was a bad one, and becuase of it I have felt isolated, lost, fearing that friendship and companionship were just out of my reach.
Since my incarceration I have found many ways to occupy my time. I am an artist, as you can see. I think I'm pretty good and it's a way for me to Express myself when words alone won't do. I enjoy reading and writing poetry. They provide a freedom that for now I only dream of. I'm an intelligent man and enjoy good conversation, I can conversate on most things and listen just as well. I work out to keep strong and healthy. It also eases my mind. Then there are times when I just think, staring at the ceiling, thinking of what was, what is and what will be. All said though I am a good man and worth taking the time to truly know.
These years have been hard on me. I do have family, but have never truly felt like I was part of a family and those I once considered friends were really only that of circumstance. Since coming here I have been out of sight, out of mind and long since forgotten. So here I am. Reaching out to you from the other side of the fence in hopes of finding someone special to share myself with, please don't let my search be in vain. I hope to hear from you soon and will be anxiously awaiting your letter.
